In the depth of winter I finally learned that Within me lay an Invincible summer Camus
Infertility is a modern-day problem, with many millions of couples struggling to get pregnant – as many as 1 in 4 couples in the UK. Conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and declining sperm quality are major factors affecting the ability to conceive, as well as endometriosis and toxicity arising from prolonged use of the contraceptive pill.
Conventional assisted conception techniques such as IUI, IVF and ICSI don’t come without their own problems: invasive hormonal treatment, multiple hospital appointments, huge cost, stress, and a low success rate: 23% for women aged between 35-37, falling to just 10% for women over 40. I have a particular interest in helping couples who are struggling to achieve a pregnancy. Using homeopathy is a truly holistic approach to well-being, as it seeks to address the various factors that commonly affect the ability to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy. These include emotional issues (that can play a crucial role in conception) and physical considerations such as previous medical history, specific organ function and menstrual/ ovulatory symptoms; all the while taking into account your own unique experience of the process, and helping you to recognise and interpret your fertile signs.
I work with a specific fertility programme that I tailor carefully to your own individual history and requirements. The programme runs for a maximum of four months, so the results can be both measurable and finite. My experience of working with couples with diagnoses such as endometriosis, hormonal imbalances and 'unexplained infertility' has been particularly rewarding.
